Minimum Surface preparation is required for the application of the Joint Tape System
Place tape on the expansion joint to mark the width
CCT Joint Tape must be embedded min. 4 cm into the adhesive on each side and must overlap the sides by min. 2 cm.
After marking the width, draw lines on both sides for fixing the mask tape
Mask both sides of the joint with tape.
Mix CCT PoxyFix adhesive as stated in the technical guideline to a homogenous grey color.
Apply CCT PoxyFix adhesive on both sides of the expansion joint approx. 2 mm thick.
Press CCT Joint Tape onto fresh adhesive layer and ensure that the keyholes of the tape are securely embedded into the adhesive.
Key holes securely embedded into the adhesive.
Immediately apply a second layer of adhesive on top of the tape, overlapping on the sides.
Remove the masking tape on both sides before the adhesive cures in order to achieve a clean finish.
Leave the finished job to cure for approx. 24 hours.
Remove the black masking tape to finish the application of the CCT Joint Tape System.
After the epoxy adhesive has cured for 24 hours, the waterproofing material can be applied overlapping onto the epoxy layer.
